Printed Knit Pattern 60 - Boys Rib Sleeve Cardigan Set

Printed and posted instructions for you to make an easy knit boy's ribbed-sleeved cardigan with matching bobble hat, bootees and mittens.  The pattern is in sizes 3lb – 3 months for babies or 15-22″ reborn dolls.  I have used Sirdar Snuggly Jolly DK and Sirdar Snuggly DK for illustration purposes.

To knit this baby boy cardigan you will need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together and pick up stitches.

You will need:

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size

50g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 6 buttons,  1 stitch holder, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size

50g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 6 buttons, 1 stitch holder, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size

100g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 100g contrast colour B, 6 buttons, 1 stitch holder, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles. OR use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g contrast colour B,  6 buttons, 1 stitch holder,  1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g contrast colour B, 6 buttons, 1 stitch holder, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
