Printed Knitting Pattern 50 - Lacy Dress Set

Printed and posted instructions to knit a really pretty baby or reborn doll dress set with a lacy pattern, textured bodice, and lacy sleeves.  There is a bonnet and bootees to match. The bonnet has a lacy turned-back brim which fastens with ribbon and the dress ties at the waist with ribbon as well. The bootees tie at the ankle with matching ribbon.  I have knitted the outfit shown in Wendy Peter Pan DK. When knitted this set will fit a 21-22 inch reborn, 19-20 inch reborn, 17-18 inch reborn or a 15-16″ reborn, or babies 3lb through to 3 months.

To knit this baby dress you need to be able to knit, purl, knit 2 stitches together, slip stitches, pass slipped stitches over, yarn forward and pick up stitches.

You will need:

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 3-4lb Prem) Size

2 x 100g 4ply, 4 buttons, 3m ribbon, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 4-6lb Prem) Size

2 x 100g 4ply, 4 buttons, 4m ribbon, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 6-7lb Newborn) Size

2 x 100g 4ply, 4 buttons, 4m ribbon, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

2 x 100g dk, 4 buttons, 4m ribbon, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

2 x 100g DK, 4 buttons, 4m ribbon, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
