Printed Knitting Pattern 66 – Boys Summer Romper Set

Printed and posted instructions to knit a cute boy’s all-in-one short-legged and short-sleeved romper, with matching peaked cap and shoes.  The romper fastens all the way up the back from the crotch to the back of the neck to make it easier to dress the baby and to make nappy changes easier.

To knit this baby boy onesie you will need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together, slip stitches, pass slipped stitches over and pick up stitches.

You will need:

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 9 buttons, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 9 buttons, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size

100g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g 4ply in colour B, 9 buttons, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles. OR use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

100g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g contrast colour B, 9 buttons, 3 stitch holders,  1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

150g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g contrast colour B, 9 buttons, 3 stitch holders, 1pr x 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
