This premature lacy cardigan set knitting pattern contains instructions to knit a reborn doll or baby lacy cardigan, beanie hat and bootees set in either 4ply or DK yarn depending on what size you would like to achieve.
This little cardigan set is suitable for either a boy or a girl. When knitted it will fit either a 12-17″ height reborn doll or 1.5lb – 5lb babies.
To knit this cardigan set you need to be able knit, purl, yarn forward, knit two stitches together, slip stitches, pass slipped stitches over and pick up stitches.
The materials needed for this premature cardigan are as follows:
12-13” or 30cm Height (Approx 1.5lb Prem) Size
100g 4ply yarn, 3 buttons and 1 x metre 7mm ribbon for bootees. You will also need 1 x pr 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
13-14” or 35cm Height (Approx 2.5lb Prem) Size
100g 4ply yarn, 3 buttons and 1 x metre 7mm ribbon for bootees. You will also need 1 x pr 3.75mm needles to make a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size
100g dk yarn, 3 buttons and 1 x metre 7mm ribbon for bootees. You will also need 1 x pr 3.75mm needles to make a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size
100g dk yarn, 3 buttons and 1 x metre 7mm ribbon for bootees. You will also need 1 x pr 4mm needles to make a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
