Knit Pattern 042 – Micro Preemie Boy Romper Set

In happy memory of Evan Gabriel Manually emailed PDF instructions to knit a very premature-sized reborn doll or baby lacy romper suit, bobble hat that fastens with a strap and button, and bootees set in either 4ply or DK yarn depending on which size you wish to make. When knitted it will fit either a 10″ 11″, 12″ or 14″ height baby (approx 0lb – 2.5lb) or a reborn doll.

Description

To knit this pattern you will need:

10” or 25cm Height (Approx 1lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn, 1 x m ribbon, 12 buttons, 3 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

11” or 27.5cm Height (Approx 1-1.5lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn, 1 x m ribbon, 12 buttons, 3 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or DK yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

12” or 30cm Height (Approx 1.5lb Prem) Size

100g dk yarn, 1 x m ribbon, 12 buttons, 3 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

14” or 35cm Height (Approx 2.5lb Prem) Size

150g dk yarn, 1 x m ribbon, 12 buttons, 3 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 4.5mm needles making a tension of 20sts and 26 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

This pattern has been designed by myself so it is in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 5 printed pages with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. Independent knitters test all my patterns before they are released, so every effort is made so that they come to you error-free.
