Manually emailed PDF instructions for a simple but pretty tiered baby coat in 3 colours. The coat has a gathered yoke and fastens at the front with 4 buttons. There is a matching sun hat and Mary Jane shoes. This is an ideal pattern for when you are watching box sets as it is easy to keep track of where you are in the pattern if you reach an exciting part of your programme and get distracted!
You will need:
17-18” or 42.5-45cm Height (Approx 4-5lb Prem) Size
100g 4ply yarn in colour 1, 100g 4ply yarn in colour 2, 100g 4ply yarn in colour 3, 6 buttons, 2 x stitch holders, 2 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size
100g 4ply yarn in colour 1, 100g 4ply yarn in colour 2, 100g 4ply yarn in colour 3, 6 buttons, 2 x stitch holders, 2 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
20-21” or 51-53.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size
150g 4ply yarn in colour 1, 100g 4ply yarn in colour 2, 100g 4ply yarn in colour 3, 6 buttons, 2 x stitch holders, 2 x pr 3.75mm needles. OR use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
22” or 55cm Height (Approx 0-3 Months) Size
150g dk yarn in colour 1, 100g dk yarn in colour 2, 100g dk yarn in colour 3, 6 buttons, 2 x stitch holders, 2 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
3-6 Month Size
150g dk yarn in colour 1, 100g dk yarn in colour 2, 100g dk yarn in colour 3, 6 buttons, 2 x stitch holders, 2 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

This pattern has been designed by myself so it is in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 6 pages with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. Independent knitters test all my patterns before they are released, so every effort is made so that they come to you error-free.
