Reborn Dress Knitting Pattern

Manually emailed PDF instructions to knit a reborn’s front fastening short dress with a collar, a matching bonnet, leggings and shoes.  Our image picture has been knitted in 4ply yarn.

When knitted this set will fit a 10-inch reborn doll.  Our set has been knitted with James C Brett’s 4ply yarn which we found gave a better fit on our Ashton Drake Emmy doll.  We also knitted this reborn dress knitting pattern as it was written in a standard DK yarn with 4mm needles. When finished, we found it fitted a 14″ reborn doll beautifully.

The short dress features a lacy stitch pattern for the skirt area and the sleeves.  There is also a collar on the dress which also features the lacy stitch pattern.  The bodice is plain and fastens at the front with 3 buttons. There is also a bonnet worked in the same lacy stitch pattern. The bonnet ties with a ribbon under the neck.  Both the dress and bonnet have been embellished with ribbon bows on our outfit, but of course, you can add any embellishments of your choice.  The instructions for the close-fit leggings are in a contrasting colour.  We think this reborn doll dress knitting pattern is ideal if you are looking to use up any oddments of yarn you have left over from a previous project. Finally, there are instructions to knit a plain pair of slip-on shoes.  These too, have also been embellished with ribbon bows.

To knit this set, you will need 50g of main colour 4ply yarn and 20g in a contrasting colour.  You will also need a pair of  3.25mm needles, 3 buttons, ribbon for bonnet and embellishments to complete.
