Manually emailed PDF instructions to knit a really cute puff stitch knitting pattern for a boy’s shawl collared cardigan with matching bobble hat and bootees. The pattern is in sizes 3lb – 3 months for babies or 15-22″ reborn dolls. I have used Sirdar Snuggly DK. Some experience is needed to knit this pattern, but each row within the areas that need shaping has been written out in full so you only need to concentrate on the knitting, not the working out of what stitch goes where when a decrease is needed.

Description

You will need:

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 3-4lb Prem) Size

150g 4ply, oddment of contrast for pom pom, 6 buttons, 1m ribbon, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 4-6lb Prem) Size

150g 4ply, oddment of contrast for pom pom, 6 buttons, 1m ribbon, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 6-7lb Newborn) Size

150g 4ply, oddment of contrast for pom pom, 6 buttons, 2m ribbon, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

200g dk yarn, oddment of contrast for pom pom, 6 buttons, 2m ribbon, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

200g dk yarn, oddment of contrast for pom pom, 6 buttons, 2m of ribbon, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

This pattern has been designed by myself so it is in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 9 printed pages with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. All my patterns are tested by independent knitters before they are released, so every effort is made so that they come to you error-free.
