Additionally, the dungarees fasten at the bib, sides and inside legs with buttons. As well as the dungarees and sweater, there is also a matching beanie hat and booties. This set is completely unisex so it can be made for either a boy or a girl. It can be knitted in either 4ply or double knitting yarn. This depends on which size you wish to knit.
To knit this dungaree set you should be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together, pick up stitches and knit two pieces of knitting together using a 3rd needle.
150g 4ply yarn in main colour A and 100g contrast colour B. You will also need 20 buttons, 3 stitch holders and 1 x pr 2.75mm needles to make a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
200g 4ply yarn in main colour A and 100g contrast colour B. You will also need 20 buttons, 3 stitch holders and 1 x pr 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
200g 4ply yarn in main colour A and 100g contrast colour B. You will also need 20 buttons, 3 stitch holders and 1 x pr 3.75mm needles. Alternatively, use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
200g dk yarn in main colour A and 100g contrast colour B. You will also need 20 buttons, 3 stitch holders and 1 x pr 3.75mm needles to make a tension of 24sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
250g dk yarn in main colour A, and 150g contrast colour B. You will also need 20 buttons, 3 stitch holders and 1 x pr 4mm needles to make a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
