Manually emailed instructions to knit a hooded baby jacket. It can be knitted in either 4ply or DK yarn, depending on size. Instructions are in nine sizes from premature 1lb through to 3 months or 10-22 inch reborn dolls. This pattern is suitable for a beginner with some experience in picking up stitches.
This hooded baby jacket is knitted in stocking stitch so it’s nice and easy to do. Different looks can also be achieved by using any of the self-patterning yarns that are available on the market today. To illustrate, we have used several types of fashion yarn to show you the differences before it’s knitted. As you can see, they look very different and some don’t look like they are from the same pattern. In this instance for our photo, we have used fair isle yarn, plain yarn, random dyed yarn and yarn that looks like a flower pattern when knitted. So all in all, every jacket you make can be unique to you.
To complete this easy knit pattern you will need to be able to knit, purl, increase, knit two stitches together and yarn forward. You will also need to be able to pick up stitches for the hood.
