A layette is a traditional collection of matching garments and accessories designed to create a complete wardrobe for a new baby. Unlike individual knitting patterns, our layette collections are supplied as pattern books, with each book containing a wide variety of coordinating outfits and accessories.
Each book follows the same stitch pattern, allowing you to mix and match garments to create your own unique outfits. Depending on the book, you'll find combinations of rompers, cardigans, matinee jackets, hats, trousers, shorts, bodysuits, dresses, bonnets, bootees and sandals, giving you plenty of choice for every occasion.
Our layette knitting pattern books include nine sizes, ranging from very premature babies through to 3 months, with many designs also fitting 10–24 inch reborn dolls. Every garment is presented on its own page with clear, row-by-row instructions and practical sizing information, making the books easy to follow while allowing you to enjoy your knitting.
