We DO NOT use artificial intelligence for writing, or assisting in writing our patterns, nor will we ever use it for those purposes.
We enjoy creating and writing the patterns ourselves, no matter how long it takes us.
We may, however, use a picture editing software to blur or remove and change backgrounds on our images. We DO NOT use AI to generate or manipulate any of our knitted items in a photo.
To add reassurance, we include the original photograph in each listing, no matter how dark or out of true colour it may be.
We asked AI to edit 4 of our photos to make the left sleeve fold over and face downwards.
These are the results.

The above photo came out with an elongated right sleeve. We had also asked AI to fold the sleeve over, not under.

This one has had it's left sleeve completely removed and the stitch pattern on the right sleeve has been distorted. The knit is lace is also a different colour and not the same as the original.

We originally were quite hopeful about this photograph, althought it's the right sleeve that's been folded over instead of the left. Then we realised that the frills at the top of the right sleeve had been removed.

This picture was created after the original had been requested to be made into a portrait shape photo instead of landscape as well as folding the left sleeve over on both cardigans. Although our lace background isn't the same, we had high hopes for this picture too. Unfortunately, AI turned the green, round-neck cardigan into a V-neck!
Looking at these pictures with bits missing, other bits distorted, and AI not knowing the difference between a left sleeve and a right sleeve, a round neck and a V neck, AI does not depict the true quality of our finished items.
After seeing these results, we certainly don't hold out much hope for it producing an accurate knitting pattern, so please be rest assured that all of our patterns are created by hand.
