Many of our patterns include several sizes within one pattern. For the smaller sizes, from approximately 2.5 lb to 7 lb (or 15–19 inch reborn dolls), the patterns are written using 4 ply yarn to create lightweight, less bulky garments for tiny babies. For the larger sizes, from approximately 8 lb to 3 months (or 20–22 inch reborn dolls), the same patterns use DK (Double Knitting) yarn. The finished size is achieved through the combination of yarn thickness, needle size and knitting tension, while you only need to follow one set of instructions.
