Manually emailed instructions to knit a unisex/gender-neutral lacy beanie hat and bootee set worked in either 4ply or DK yarn depending on which size you wish you knit. It can be knitted for either a boy or a girl using the same directions. When knitted, it will fit 15″-22″ reborn dolls or infants from 3lb through to 3 months.

To make this beanie hat set, you need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together, increase and pick up stitches.

To knit this lacy beanie hat set you will need the following:

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 3-4lb Prem) Size

100g main colour 4ply yarn and 1 x metre ribbon.  You will also need 1 x pr 2.75mm needles to make a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 4-6lb Prem) Size

100g main colour 4ply yarn and 1 x metre ribbon.  You will also need 1 x pr 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 6-7lb Newborn) Size

100g main colour 4ply yarn and 1 x metre ribbon,  You will also need 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or DK yarn and 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

100g main colour DK yarn and 1 x metre ribbon.  You will also need 1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

100g main colour DK yarn and 1 x metre ribbon.  You will also need 1 x pr 4mm needles to make a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
