Manually emailed instructions for a baby girl’s fluffy coat with matching bonnet. I’ve used Peter Pan Precious Chunky, which is a lovely yarn to work with. The coat is lovely and soft, lightweight and it is not at all bulky. A good alternative yarn to use is Sirdar Snowflake Chunky. This is a really quick and very easy pattern to knit, with gorgeous results. Sizes available are 3-6 months and 6-9 months.
To make this baby coat you need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together, pick up stitches and increase.
You will need:
3-6 Months Size
150g chunky yarn, 5 buttons, 5 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 6.5mm needles making a tension of 14sts and 20 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
6-9 Month Size
200g chunky yarn, 5 buttons, 5 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 7mm needles making a tension of 12sts and 18 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
