Manually emailed instructions for a baby girl’s or reborn doll’s lacy frilled bolero, in either 4ply or DK yarn depending on which size you wish to make. It is ideal for summer. This bolero will fit either babies 2.5lb -0/3 months or 21-22 inch reborns, 19-20 inch reborns, 17-18 inch reborns or 15-16″ reborns.

To make this baby bolero you will need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together, slip stitches and pass slipped stitches over.

You will need:

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size

50g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 1 button,  1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size

50g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 1 button, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size

50g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 1 button, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles.  OR use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

50g dk yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 1 button, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

50g dk yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 1 button, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
