Manually emailed instructions for you to knit this top-down child bolero. This pattern comes in 4 sizes from 1 to 7 years, and all sizes are knitted in DK yarn.  Each size has individual instructions and is all knitted from the top down.  As a result, there is minimal sewing needed afterwards.  There is also a choice of long or short sleeves as well as instructions for using contrasting colours.

Please note that this is the larger size pattern for children aged 1- 7 years.

To knit this child size bolero you will need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, yarn over needle, knit 2 stitches together, purl 3 stitches together and pick up stitches

To make this child's top down bolero you will need:

1-2 Year Size

50g dk yarn in colour A and 50g dk yarn in colour B. You will also need 1 button, 1 x stitch holder and 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

2-3 Year Size 

100g dk yarn in colour A and 50g dk yarn in colour B. You will also need 1 button, 1 x stitch holder and 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

4-5 Year Size

100g dk yarn in colour A and 50g dk yarn in colour B. You will also need 1 button, 1 x stitch holder and 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

6- 7 Year Size

150g dk yarn in colour A and 50g dk yarn in colour B. You will also need 1 button, 1 x stitch holder and 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
