Gender Neutral Knitting Patterns
We have a lovely range of gender-neutral knitting patterns or unisex knitting patterns as they are also known. There are lots of different styles to choose from, including bibs through to vests.
If you need to make specific changes to make your outfit a boy’s version or a girl’s version, the instructions are written within the pattern. Some of the patterns are suitable so that you can make them before knowing the baby’s gender. This is done with buttonhole borders stitched to the correct side as needed. In some instances, we have placed buttonholes on both sides of the border. That way all that is left for you to do once the rest of the outfit has been knitted is to sew up the unwanted buttonholes. After that, just sew the buttons on over the top of the sewn-up buttonholes. This should take you just a few minutes to do, then your outfit is completed. This is ideal if you need it in a hurry due to the baby arriving earlier than expected.
All the calculations for buttonholes are done for you, so you do not need to work them so you can continue knitting seamlessly. All our patterns are written in row-by-row instructions so that they are easy to read and follow.
