Baggy Bum Romper Knitting Pattern
Manually emailed PDF instructions for a lovely little baggy bum romper knitting pattern. This onesie it ideal for terry nappies rather than disposable nappies. This set has been designed in stocking stitch so it would suit any type of fashion yarn. This set features a baby beret, matching bootees and a short-sleeved, short-legged romper. For comfort, the romper fastens to halfway down the back and under the crotch, so nappy changes are made easier. In addition, the collar is optional too.
You will need:-
15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size
200g 4ply yarn and 1.5 x m of 6mm ribbon for bootees. 11 buttons to fasten and embellishments of your choice. You will also need 3 stitch holders and 1 x pr 2.75mm needles to make a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size
200g 4ply yarn and 2 x m of 6mm ribbon for bootees. 11 buttons to fasten and embellishments of your choice. You will also need 3 stitch holders and 1 x pr 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size
200g 4ply yarn and 2 x m of 6mm ribbon for bootees. 11 buttons to fasten and embellishments of your choice. you will also need 3 stitch holders and 1 x pr 3.75mm needles. Alternatively, use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size
250g dk yarn and 2 x m of 6mm ribbon for bootees. 11 buttons to fasten and embellishments of your choice. You will also need 3 stitch holders and 1 x pr 3.75mm needles to make a tension of 24sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size
300g dk yarn and 2 x m of 6mm ribbon for bootees. 11 buttons to fasten and embellishments of your choice. You will also need 3 stitch holders and 1x pr 4mm needles to make a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

Our baggy bum romper knitting pattern has been designed by us in English and in UK terminology. As a result, it does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 6 pages with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. Independent knitters test all our patterns before release, to ensure we make every effort to keep them error-free.
