Manually emailed PDF knitting pattern for a basic beanie hat & bootee set.
This little unisex set can be knitted in either 4ply or double knitting yarn depending on which size you want to achieve. Sizes start from 3lb premature through to 3 months or 15-22″ reborn dolls. This pattern is suitable for a beginner with some experience of picking up stitches.
To make this set you will need:
15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 3-4lb Prem) Size
100g 4ply yarn and 1 x metre ribbon. You will also need 1 x pr 2.75mm needles to make a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 4-6lb Prem) Size
100g 4ply yarn and 1 x metre ribbon. You will also need 1 x pr 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 6-7lb Newborn) Size
100g 4ply yarn and 1 x metre ribbon. You will also need 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or dk yarn and 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size
100g dk yarn and 1 x metre ribbon. You will also need 1 x pr 3.75mm needles to make a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size
100g dk yarn and 1 x metre ribbon. You will also need 1 x pr 4mm needles to make a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
This basic beanie hat & bootees knitting pattern has been designed by myself and it’s been written in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 3 pages with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. Independent knitters test all our patterns before release. We try to ensure we make every effort to keep them error-free.
