Knitting Pattern 067 – Girls Dungaree Dress Set

Manually emailed PDF instructions for a reborn or baby girl’s dungaree dress set in either 4ply or DK yarn, depending on which size you want to make. The set comprises a crew neck sweater that fastens at the back. The sleeves feature a lace pattern on the long sleeves and the top part of the sleeve is plain and is made as a double thickness. The dungaree dress fastens at the top and also at the sides. The dungaree dress features a lace pattern running above the hemline and it also has a large pocket at the front. There is also a lace-patterned bonnet and matching shoes.

You will need:

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 12 buttons, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 50g contrast colour B, 12 buttons, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size

150g 4ply yarn in main colour A, 100g contrast colour B, 12 buttons, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles. OR use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

150g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g contrast colour B, 12 buttons, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

200g dk yarn in main colour A, 100g contrast colour B, 12 buttons, 3 stitch holders, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

This pattern has been designed by myself so it is in UK terminology. It does not follow the usual ‘shop bought’ format. There are 8 printed pages with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. All my patterns are tested by independent knitters before they are released, so every effort is made so that they come to you error-free.
