This versatile baby knitting pattern includes instructions for both a long sleeve and short sleeve top-down bolero, allowing the outfit to be worn throughout the year. During the warmer months, the pinafore dress can be worn on its own or with the short sleeve bolero, while in cooler weather it pairs perfectly with a top underneath and the long sleeve bolero.

Designed with minimal sewing required, the bolero is worked from the top down while the pinafore dress is knitted from the bottom up. The scalloped frill is joined using the three-needle cast-off method, with only the bonnet crown seam, shoe heel and sole seams, and pinafore side seams requiring sewing.
