Manually emailed instructions to knit a beautiful top-down baby bolero with minimal sewing required.
This top-down baby bolero knitting pattern has become one of our best-selling designs thanks to its simple construction, versatility and incredibly low yarn requirements. Worked from the neckline down, there's very little sewing up to do, making it a quick and satisfying project for knitters of all experience levels.
The pattern includes instructions for working the bolero in either one or two colours, making it ideal for stash busting and using up leftover yarn. The plain pink sample shown only used 37g of DK yarn for the 0–3 month size, while using two colours requires even less of each shade.
One of the reasons this pattern has remained so popular is how different every finished bolero looks. Customers have knitted it in solid colours, stripes, variegated yarns and colour combinations, creating hundreds of unique designs. The pattern includes multiple sizes from premature babies through to 0–3 months and is suitable for both babies and reborn dolls.
