PDF Premature Bodysuit Knitting Pattern

Manually emailed instructions for a premature bodysuit knitting pattern, suitable for tiny babies or reborn dolls.

This single-size knitting pattern includes instructions to knit a traditional button-up premature bodysuit with a matching beanie hat and socks. Knitted in double knitting (DK) yarn, the completed set fits 3–4lb premature babies or a 16-inch reborn doll.

All three pieces are worked in a simple eyelet stitch pattern, creating a classic outfit that is both gentle to knit and attractive to wear.

The pattern includes separate instructions for a boy or a girl, together with a clever option for knitting before the baby's gender is known. By following both front instructions, you can place temporary buttonholes on both sides, then simply sew up the unused side and add buttons once the gender is confirmed.

We have been told this is an ideal pattern for hospital and charity knitting.

This design also forms part of one of our Baby Knitting Pattern Books.
