Manually emailed instructions to knit a reborn 3-coloured stripe all-in-one romper suit/onesie in 9 sizes in either 4ply or DK yarn depending on which size you wish you knit. The set comprises an all-in-one and beanie hat. It can be knitted for either a boy or a girl. When knitted, it will fit 10″-22″ reborns.
All-in-ones are sometimes referred to as romper suits, sleepsuits or onesies. This unisex all-in-one knitting pattern has instructions for 9 sizes in either 4ply or DK yarn. The needle size and yarn thickness dictate the finished size. The set comprises an all-in-one and a beanie hat and can be knitted for either a boy or a girl. When knitted, it will fit 10″-22″ reborns.
The romper itself is mostly knitted in one piece to the armholes. The button and buttonhole bands are knitted separately in places, but the buttonholes are placed for you. Afterwards, you join the front bands together with the neckband so everything lines up for you. This will help to make sewing up a bit easier.
This all-in-one knitting pattern has been written incorporating the different coloured stripes. Alternatively, you can use any self-patterning yarn, or plain yarn and embellishments.
To make this onesie you need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together, increase stitches, cast on using the 2 needle method and pick up stitches
60g 4ply in main colour, 20g each in colours 1 and 2. You will also need 12 buttons and 1 x pr 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
80g 4ply yarn in main colour, 50g each in colours 1 and 2. You will also need 12 buttons and 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or DK yarn and 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
100g dk in main colour, 50g each in colours 1 and 2. You will also need 12 buttons and 1 x pr 4mm needles to make a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
100g dk in main colour, 50g each in colours 1 and 2. You will also need 12 buttons and 1 x pr 4.5mm needles to make a tension of 20sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
80g 4ply yarn in main colour, 30g each in colours 1 and 2. You will also need 24 buttons and 1 x pr 2.75mm needles to make a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
90g 4ply yarn in main colour, 40g each in colours 1 and 2. You will also need 24 buttons and 1 x pr 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
100g 4ply yarn in main colour, 50g each in colours 1 and 2. You will also need 24 buttons and 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or dk yarn and 3.25mm needles to make a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
150g dk yarn in main colour, 50g each in colours 1 and 2. You will also need 24 buttons and 1 x pr 3.75mm needles to make a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
