Manually emailed PDF knitting pattern to knit a girl's pram quilt featuring a decorative Livingstone lily motif, worked in double knitting (DK) yarn.
This baby pram quilt knitting pattern creates a fully reversible, double-thickness quilt that is identical on both sides. The main body is made from individual knitted squares, which are sewn together after knitting, with the Livingstone lily motifs worked from a chart.
The motif squares are arranged alternately in the photographed quilt, but you can change the arrangement or knit additional plain or patterned squares to create your own layout.
The quilt opens along the top so that wadding can be placed inside for additional warmth and fastens at each side with five large buttons. Three rows of lily motifs decorate each side of the top opening.
A decorative leaf edging finishes the quilt. The double-leaf border is knitted as one piece, folded in half and sewn into position afterwards.
With wadding added, the finished pram quilt provides an extra layer of warmth for cooler days. Alternatively, it can be used without wadding as a lighter knitted baby blanket.
