Manually emailed PDF knitting pattern to knit a girl’s pram-sized quilt, worked in double knitting yarn and featuring a decorative Livingstone lily motif.
This pram quilt is fully reversible, double-thickness, and identical on both sides. The lily motif is worked from a chart, and the main body of the quilt is made up of individual knitted squares, which are sewn together after knitting. The motif squares have been arranged alternately in the sample, although you may knit and arrange your own squares as you wish.
The quilt opens at the top to allow wadding to be added inside and fastens on each side with five very large buttons. The top opening features three rows of lily motifs on each side. The decorative leaf edging is knitted once, with a double-leaf border that folds in half and is stitched on afterwards.
This pram quilt is not only pretty but also practical. With the wadding added, it creates a warm quilt ideal for cooler days when out walking with the pram. Without the wadding, it can be used as a lightweight blanket.
This listing is for a PDF knitting pattern, not a finished item.
