A lovely crocheted baby blanket featuring the colours of the rainbow. The blanket is mostly white with thin stripes of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, making up the colours of the rainbow. The blanket is edged with all 7 rainbow colours.
For newborn babies, rainbow colours signify brightness, colour, happiness and new beginnings, especially after following a period of darkness. Rainbow babies are extra special, so the rainbow colours celebrate this.
There is also a matching 'Charleston' style bobble hat which will fit a 0-3-month-old baby. I call it a Charleston-style hat as it has a rainbow brim that flares out. The hat is topped with a large pom-pom made up of all the rainbow colours.
The white yarn of the blanket is 100% acrylic, and the rainbow-coloured yarns are 55% nylon and 45% acrylic. The set is machine washable.
