Manually emailed instructions to knit either a boy’s or a girl’s traditional lacy matinee set, with footies, and a choice of a bonnet, or a cap with ear flaps that fasten with a strap. The footies are plain whilst the matinee set features a diamond lacy stitch pattern.
To knit this traditional pram set, you will need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together, slip stitches, pass slipped stitches over, increase and pick up stitches.
150g 4ply yarn in main colour, 100g 4ply yarn in contrast colour, 4 buttons for girls version, 5 buttons for boys version, 2m of 6mm ribbon for bonnet and tights, 2 x stitch holders,1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch
