Manually emailed instructions for a newborn baby bodysuit.
Our newborn button up bodysuit knitting pattern is for a single-size bodysuit knitted in DK (Double Knitting) yarn. There is a matching beanie hat and socks which are all worked in a simple eyelet stitch pattern.
There are separate instructions for a boy and a girl. The socks are knitted on straight needles and have special instructions listed in full to shape the heel. To make this newborn set, you need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit two stitches together, slip stitches, pass slipped stitches over and pick up stitches.
We have several variations of this particular pattern. Originally, we started with the premature version of this pattern. It was very popular and we were asked to do it in a bigger size. Every time we did a bigger size we were asked again for an even bigger size. As a result, there are now 4 sizes of this style pattern and each pattern has its individual listing. So that it is clearer, we have used different coloured images and title descriptions. Hopefully, this should help distinguish each size. For your convenience, we have also put all 4 original DK patterns into a book format.
As this is the original pattern and it forms part of Knitting Pattern Book 1, which contains all the original DK bodysuit patterns in sizes premature, newborn, 0-3 months and 3-6 months together at a greatly reduced price than buying individually. View the bodysuit collection.
