Printed Baby Flower Headband and Sandals Knit Pattern

Printed and posted instructions to knit a baby or reborn doll, basic headband and sandals with knitted flowers and leaves in either 4ply or DK yarn, depending on which size you wish to make.

Although the headband and sandals are basic, the flowers and leaves are a little bit fiddly, but the result is well worth it.  This set will fit either babies 2.5lb -0-3 months or 21-22 inch reborn, 19-20 inch reborn, 17-18 inch reborn or a 15-16″ reborn.

This set will fit either premature babies from 2.5lb, newborn babies and 0-3 month babies,  or 15-16 inch, 17-18 inch, 19-20 inch or 21-22 inch reborn dolls.

The materials you will need for this headband and sandals knitting pattern are as follows: 

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size

50g 4ply yarn in main colour, 10g contrast colour dark green, 10g contrast colour light green, 10g contrast colour pale pink, 10g contrast colour pink, a strand of yellow for flower centre, 2 small buttons for shoes, embellishments as desired, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size

50g 4ply yarn in main colour, 10g contrast colour dark green, 10g contrast colour light green, 10g contrast colour pale pink, 10g contrast colour pink, a strand of yellow for flower centre, 2 small buttons for shoes, embellishments as desired, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” pr 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size

50g 4ply yarn in main colour, 10g contrast colour dark green, 10g contrast colour light green, 10g contrast colour pale pink, 10g contrast colour pink, a strand of yellow for flower centre, 2 small buttons for shoes, embellishments as desired,1 x pr 3.75mm needles.  OR use dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

50g dk yarn in main colour, 10g contrast colour dark green, 10g contrast colour light green, 10g contrast colour pale pink, 10g contrast colour pink, a strand of yellow for flower centre, 2 small buttons for shoes, embellishments as desired,1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

50g dk yarn in main colour, 10g contrast colour dark green, 10g contrast colour light green, 10g contrast colour pale pink, 10g contrast colour pink, a strand of yellow for flower centre, 2 small buttons for shoes, embellishments as desired, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 28 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

To make the size of the set, you will need either 2.75mm, 3.25mm, 3.75mm or 4mm needles and 2 buttons.  You will also need to be able to knit, purl, knit 2 stitches together, increase, slip stitches and pass slipped stitches over.

Alternatively, you could knit the basic headband and sandals and add your own embellishments.  Either way, you will have a pretty and practical accessory set for the special little one in your life.
