I’ve used Peter Pan Precious Chunky, which is a lovely yarn to work with. The coat is lovely and soft, lightweight and it is not at all bulky. A good alternative yarn to use is Sirdar Snowflake Chunky. This is a really quick and very easy pattern to knit, with gorgeous results. Sizes available are 3-6 months and 6-9 months.
To make this baby coat you need to be able to knit, purl, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together, pick up stitches and increase.
150g chunky yarn, 5 buttons, 5 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 6.5mm needles making a tension of 14sts and 20 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
200g chunky yarn, 5 buttons, 5 x stitch holders, 1 x pr 7mm needles making a tension of 12sts and 18 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
PDF patterns are manually emailed to the European Union, United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Items that need physical posting are shipped to England, Scotland and Wales.
