PDF Unisex Textured Baby Cardigan Knitting Pattern

Manually emailed instructions to knit a textured V-neck cardigan with a matching beanie hat and bootees.  The pattern features a raised ‘torch’ pattern and is suitable for any gender.

To make this unisex baby cardigan, you will need to be able to knit, purl, work through the back of the loop of stitches, make stitches, yarn forward, knit 2 stitches together and make stitches.

You will need:

15-16” or 37.5-40cm Height (Approx 2.5-4lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn, 3 buttons, 1 x pr 2.75mm needles making a tension of 30sts and 38 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

16-17” or 40-42.5cm Height (Approx 3-5lb Prem) Size

100g 4ply yarn, 3 buttons, 1 x pr 3.25mm needles making a tension of 28sts and 36 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

18-19” or 45-47.5cm Height (Approx 5-7lb Newborn) Size

100g 4ply yarn, 3 buttons, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles or dk yarn and 3.25mm needles making a tension of 26sts and 34 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

20-21” or 50-52.5cm Height (Approx 8-10lb Newborn) Size

150g dk yarn, 3 buttons, 1 x pr 3.75mm needles making a tension of 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.

22” or 55cm Height (0-3 Months) Size

150g dk yarn, 3 buttons, 1 x pr 4mm needles making a tension of 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm square over stocking stitch.
